Thank you for thinking of Leach Botanical Garden for your special event! We'd love to welcome you and your guests to our hidden gem tucked alongside Johnson Creek in Southeast Portland.
We offer rental packages for a wide range of occasions, from weddings and receptions to elopements, private celebrations, business retreats, and more. Whether you're exchanging vows under the Covered Arbor, having a dance party on the East Terrace, or hosting a team retreat in the Manor House, the garden provides a setting unlike any other in the city.
The garden is especially magical from late spring through early fall when the plants are in full bloom, though our indoor Manor House is available year-round for more intimate gatherings. Guests often describe the experience as feeling like a true retreat, right in the heart of SE Portland.
In 2026, the garden faced significant funding cuts and a very real threat of closing. Our community stepped up and showed us that Leach was important to them. We have reduced our staff and programming, but the garden was saved. When you host your event here, you are part of that story. Every rental directly supports our staff, our mission, and the continued stewardship of this beloved community green space.
