Is onsite parking available?

The Creekside parking lot located at 6739 SE 122nd near the Manor House will be open for your use. The main parking lot near the entrance of the garden is also open during garden hours. However, parking is limited and we encourage car-pooling and ride-sharing.

What event space is available for rent and what is the maximum guest count?

Leach Botanical Garden rents the indoor Manor House Fireplace Room and adjacent outdoor East Terrace as a combined, single venue.

The Manor House Fireplace Room can accommodate up to 40 people comfortably at a seated reception or up to 24 people for a business retreat. Our outdoor East Terrace can seat up to 80 people comfortably at a seated reception.

Our newest event space is the Upper Arbor. This outdoor space can fit 40-50 guests for a seated reception.

Our maximum capacity for both indoor and outdoor spaces is 80 people.

How much does it cost to rent the venue space at Garden?

What is included in the venue Rental Fee?
  • Event Rental Period — Email for details.
  • Lower Garden Manor House: Fireplace Room and main floor including the Dining Room, Kitchen and Nook for food staging only, 2 restrooms, and the East Terrace and front driveways.
  • Upper Garden Covered Arbor: Aerial Tree Walk, Upper Garden lawn, and 2 restrooms.
  • Creekside parking lot with 32 spaces plus 2 Disabled Persons Permit Parking spaces in Manor House Driveway.
  • Main parking lot with 40 spaces and 3 disabled persons permit parking.
  • Onsite inventory for up to 80 people at a seated reception, including set-up and break-down of these items only.
  • Please note that some rental packages have a maximum guest count less than 80 persons.
  • Market Lighting above the East Terrace
  • An Event Rental Representative will be onsite during your event and will be able to assist with venue-related needs.
  • If you are holding both a wedding ceremony and reception at the Garden:One dressing room with restrooms for wedding party use.
  • 1-hour wedding ceremony rehearsal to be scheduled 30-days prior to event date from 9am – 4pm, subject to Garden availability. Rehearsals scheduled after Garden hours may incur a fee.
What times of the day can the venue space be rented?

Leach Botanical Garden can be rented for weddings and private social events from 2:00pm – 10:00pm, Saturday and Sunday, and 4:00pm-10:00pm on weekdays.  Music must be turned off at 9:00pm.

The Garden welcomes all event rental inquires and evaluates special event rental times on a case-by-case basis.

How do I hold a Date?

Leach Botanical Garden requires a Rental Agreement with a Non-Refundable Rental Fee Deposit (25% of Rental Fee) to secure your event date. We do not hold dates without a Rental Agreement and Rental Deposit, but are glad to advise if another party is interested in the same date.

Is Event Insurance required to rent the venue space?

Yes, Leach Botanical Garden requires Event Insurance for all event rentals at the Garden.  Insurance certificate of liability is due 30-days prior to your event. Email for more information.

Does the Garden provide a Wedding Planner or Day-of Coordinator?

Leach Botanical Garden does not provide wedding planners or day of coordinators. All Ceremony and Reception rentals are required to provide a professional Day of Wedding Coordinator onsite for the set up, duration of event, and cleanup. Please inquire about preferred vendors.

Once my event is booked, can I visit anytime I want?

As an event client you and a guest can visit the garden for free up until the date of your wedding. Simply stop at the Visitor Services booth and give them your name and date of your event.

Manor House viewings need to be pre arranged. Email to schedule an appointment. Please note: the Manor House is under renovation through April 2023.

How much is the Rental Fee deposit and what is the Payment Schedule?
  • A Non-Refundable Rental Fee Deposit is 25% of the venue Rental Fee and is due upon receipt of the Rental Agreement; the Rental Fee Balance is due 90-days prior to event date.
  • A $500 Security Deposit is due 90-days prior to event date.
What is a Rain Plan?

Our East Terrace is open to the elements and Rain Plans are recommended for guest counts above 40. Rain Plans typically include reserving a tent option through Arden Event Collective and creating alternate floor layouts in case of rainy weather.

Can I provide my own food and beverage?

Leach Botanical Garden has an amazing preferred list of full-service caterers who look forward to creating a custom menu for your special event. We do not allow self-catering. Drop-off catering is subject to Garden approval. We do have a Catering Buy-Out fee; all outside vendors are subject to Garden approval. Dessert and beverage vendors are not subject to Catering Buy-Out fees, but are subject to Garden approval. Email for more details.

Can alcoholic beverages be served at a Rental Event?

Yes, a Garden-approved caterer or vendor with an OLCC license may serve all alcoholic beverages at Wedding Receptions and Private Event rentals, and Host Liquor Liability Insurance is required. Please note that not all rental packages allow alcohol service.

What is the Music/Noise policy at the Garden?

Leach Garden is located in a residential Neighborhood. Music must be turned off by 9:00pm. Email for more information.

What are the restrictions for décor?

All outdoor candles must be dripless and enclosed in glass chimneys – no open flames allowed.  Sparklers are not permitted. All indoor candles must be battery-powered.

No balloons, glitter, bubbles, or noisemakers that can disturb wildlife are allowed.

Can we smoke in the garden?

No, Leach Botanical Garden is a smoke-free/vape-free property, and smoking/vaping is not allowed in the Garden.

Can my pet be a part of my wedding?

Yes. There is a $150 fee per animal with approval for ceremony and photos only. Service animals are permitted; service animals must remain in control at all times.

What time can I access the Garden on my Event Day?

Your access to the rental space is determined by your Rental Agreement start time and end time. Your rental start time is the earliest time that you, your representatives or your vendors can access the rental space. Your rental end time is the latest time that you, your representatives or your vendors can access the rental space.
