Volunteer greeters, and hosts welcome visitors, answer questions, and share the history of the Garden.
Join our Gift Shop team in providing garden visitors with a unique selection of nature-focused and fair trade or regionally produced items. Gift Shop volunteers welcome visitors to the shop and provide information about the Garden.
Love working with children of all ages? Consider joining our team of education volunteers. These volunteers work with children in a number of fun and rewarding ways. Whether it be leading our weekly Bumblebee Hikes for preschoolers, or assisting with youth programs, these volunteers are essential to the success of our youth programs.
Spend time outdoors in the Garden educating our visitors about the garden’s history, collection information, plants of interest, and various garden habitats. You don’t need to be a plant expert to lead our garden tours; we will provide all necessary training. Guides are needed for Weekend Walks and occasionally throughout the week.
Garden volunteers get their hands dirty under the supervision of our gardeners by raking paths, caring for plants, pulling weeds, maintaining trails, and doing other seasonal garden tasks. These hard-working volunteers keep the Garden looking well tended all year round.
Garden Rangers circulate throughout the Garden to answer questions and provide directions. They assist staff with monitoring activity in the Garden, help with set up for events, and assist with closing the Garden. Weekend Rangers are particularly needed.
