Celebrate the longest day of the year your way—with a good book, chill nature vibes, and golden-hour garden magic.
Never been to a Silent Reading Party before? Here’s the vibe: show up with a book (or grab one from the exchange table), find a cozy spot in the garden, and simply… read. No pressure. No small talk. Just a bunch of book lovers enjoying the same quiet moment under the summer sky.
Bring your own blanket, camp chair, snacks, and your latest read
Take a spin by the book exchange table—bring a book, grab a book
Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase (no outside alcohol, please)
Come solo, bring a buddy, stay for the whole evening or just a chapter or two. It’s the perfect low-key way to welcome summer. You’re welcome to bring your own picnic or snacks.
As always, no pets, no smoking or vaping, and no outside alcohol. Ages 16+ please.
This event is free with a suggested donation of $5-10/per person to help support our Honeybee Hikes, multicultural storytimes, and other pre-k education at the garden.
*If the event must be rescheduled due to rain or other weather-related reasons, we will offer two backup dates to choose from. Donations are non-refundable.
