In celebration of Juneteenth, admission to the garden will be free for all visitors. We invite visitors to use our contemplative, restful space to celebrate Black freedom, honor the ongoing struggle for racial justice, and imagine liberatory futures.
Juneteenth celebrates freedom, emphasizes African American/Black heritage and achievements, and serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for racial equality and justice. On June 17th, 2021, Juneteenth officially became a federal holiday.
