Our Winterfest vendor marketplace will take place in the Covered Arbor in the upper garden and in the historic Manor House in the lower garden.  Browse local vendors, enjoy mulled wine and hot apple cider for sale, and explore the fully stocked non-profit Garden Gift Shop with nature-themed, locally made, and fair trade items.

Juneteenth Free Admission Day

June 19th

In celebration of Juneteenth, admission to the garden will be free for all visitors. We invite visitors to use our contemplative, restful space to celebrate Black freedom, honor the ongoing struggle for racial justice, and imagine liberatory futures.

Juneteenth celebrates freedom, emphasizes African American/Black heritage and achievements, and serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for racial equality and justice. On June 17th, 2021, Juneteenth officially became a federal holiday.

Summer Solstice Silent Reading Party

Friday, June 20th
5:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Never been to a Silent Reading Party before? Here’s the vibe: show up with a book (or grab one from the exchange table), find a cozy spot in the garden, and simply… read. No pressure. No small talk. Just a bunch of book lovers enjoying the same quiet moment under the summer sky.

This event is free with a suggested donation of $5-10/per person to help support our Honeybee Hikes, multicultural storytimes, and other pre-k education at the garden.
