Crossing Paths Concert

Join us for a magical evening of music in the garden!

Sunday, August 28th

We will open at 4pm for picnics on our gathering greens and meadows and for garden strolls to discover special sound installations.  At 5pm, The Rose City Brass Quintet set begins followed by repeating musical performances at different locations throughout the garden for you to explore and experience in any order you choose.

The program will include works of Cascadia Composers: Adrienne Albert, William Ashworth, Daria Baiocchi, David S. Bernstein, John G. Bilotta, Antonio Celaya, Ted Clifford, Ken Davies, David Jones, Lisa Ann Marsh, Jan Mittelstaedt, Carolyn Quick, Christina Rusnak, Greg A Steinke, Tomas Svoboda, and Linda Woody.

Featured musicians include the Rose City Brass Quintet (Logan Thane Brown, Lars Campbell, JáTtik Clark, Joseph Klause, and Daniel Partridge), Justin Bulava, Dunja Jennings Marcum (clarinet), Daniel Partridge (horn), and Brett EE Paschal, Wanyue Ye, and Davi Martinelli de Lira (percussion). The electronic sound installation is by Daniel Brugh, Mei-ling Lee, Timothy Arliss O’Brien, Jennifer Wright, and Nicholas Yandell.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and may pack in a picnic to enjoy on the garden grounds. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto the grounds, but beer and wine will be sold on-site.

We hope you can share in this exciting concert of new music from Cascadia Composer members!
