HOW DO I KNOW IF A DATE IS AVAILABLE?

Our rental coordinator can tell you easily whether the date you want is available. Our calendar is kept up-to-date showing dates for which a contract has been sent. Sometimes the request ends up not being filled, so it doesn’t hurt to ask for the date you want. Our rental coordinator is generally available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10AM to 5PM. Although she may not be at her desk at all those times, she will get back to you.

HOW DO I GET MORE INFORMATION ABOUT RENTALS?

Fill out our Rental Inquiry Form or call the Garden’s Wedding & Events phone number at 971-832-9081. You can call anytime and leave a message if our coordinator is not available. She will call you back at the next opportunity. 

DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO VISIT THE GARDEN?

You are welcome to visit the Garden during the hours we are open, however the Manor House and Terrace may be closed for a special event. Be sure to check our venue viewing calendar to see what days and times you can come to look at the venue.  Admission during regular Garden hours is free. Contributions are welcome.  Tour appointments can generally be made with our rental coordinator on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am-4pm.

HOW CAN I BOOK MY EVENT AT LEACH GARDEN?

Booking your event is as simple as identifying that the date you want is available, signing the rental contract, and returning it with a deposit. Our Rental Coordinator can generally initiate that process during your phone call or via email. 

WHAT DOES IT COST TO RENT THE GARDEN?

Our rental fees, like those at most wedding facilities, are based on prices in the marketplace. Our base rental fees range from $500-$1650 depending on the type of event and season.  We also have a $250 refundable deposit that holds your date. 

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN THE GARDEN ACCOMMODATE?

Rentals include use of the East Terrace as well as the Manor House.  Events held on the East Terrace can accommodate up to 85 guests. During the winter season, events in the Manor House great room can include 50 to 70 guests. Canopies can be rented for events up to 85 people during the cooler months of the year.

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON EVENTS AT THE GARDEN?

Because the Leach Garden is an historical site and is set in a residential neighborhood music restrictions apply.  Amplified 3-piece combos, chamber music groups, soloists or ipod/speakers providing background music are acceptable.  We do not allow DJ's or dance floors although the couple or parents are free to have a first dance.  We also do not allow hard liquor or kegs. The Garden is a smokefree facility. Some restrictions on cooking and decorations also apply.

IS THE GARDEN ACCESSIBLE? 

The Manor House and East Terrace are all ADA accessible.  Most trails of the Garden itself are not.  We have two handicapped parking spots available near the Manor House entrance.  The front drive may be used for pick up and drop offs, although it must remain clear otherwise.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

In addition to exclusive use of the Main Floor of the Manor House and the East Terrace,  your rental includes equipment and other amenities (view full supply list).  We have buffet and beverage tables, chairs for various seating arrangements. We also have a caterer-friendly kitchen, piano and working fireplace in the main room, separate wedding party changing rooms, 2 restrooms for guests and parking for 32 vehicles. The Garden does not have linens, china, silver, glassware or serving pieces.

WHAT TIMES IS THE GARDEN AVAILABLE?

Most events at the Garden take place in the afternoon and evening.  Events must be finished at 10pm on weeknights and 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights.  The Garden is not available on Mondays.

CAN I CHOOSE MY OWN CATERER?

Our Business Supporters are listed here.  They are all amazing and knowing the space is a benefit! Although choosing one of our sponsors is recommended, renters may choose their own caterer and other vendors.  With prior approval and the appropriate insurance renters may provide their own food and beverages.  We expect renters to review the Garden’s expectations regarding scheduling, catering, cleanup, load-in and load-out and similar issues with vendors.

CAN I SERVE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES?

Champagne, wine and beer, including craft beer, are permitted with appropriate insurance coverage and servers, but commercial kegs and hard liquor are not.
