Seed Exchange

Leach Botanical Garden has published an Index Seminum and exchanged seed with botanical gardens, universities and specialty nurseries around the world for over twenty years. We honor the protocol of the International Convention on Biological Diversity (Rio de Janeiro 1992) and exchange seed only with institutions using seed in the areas of research, education, conservation and development of public botanical collections. We do not provide seeds or their genetic material for any commercial benefit.

The goal of our seed collection and exchange program is to provide a wide diversity of seed with accurate collection data and a high percentage of viability. Our mission is to exchange seed and information with other botanical organizations, not to provide or sell seed to non-participating organizations or individuals.
